The Buffalo Bills are releasing veteran receiver Cole Beasley, according to NFL Network. A member of the Bills since 2019, Beasley is set to hit the open market a day after the official start of free agency. The Bills cleared $6.1 million in space by releasing Beasley.

The soon-to-be 33-year-old is entering his 11th season in the NFL. He spent his first seven seasons in Dallas before joining the Bills three years ago. For his career, Beasley has 550 receptions for 5,709 yards and 34 touchdowns. The 5-foot-8 wideout caught 231 passes for 2,438 yards and 11 touchdowns during his three seasons in Buffalo. He caught 82 passes for 693 yards and a score in 11 games last season after catching 82 passes for a career-high 967 yards and four touchdowns in 2020.

Buffalo has been active in free agency, with their biggest splash being the acquisition of former All-Pro pass rusher Von Miller. Miller agreed to terms on a six-year, $120 million deal. The Bills have also acquired former Titans guard Rodger Saffold III, former Washington defensive tackle Tim Settle, former Panthers defensive tackle DaQuan Jones, and former Buccaneers tight end O.J. Howard. They have also re-signed receiver Isaiah McKenzie to a two-year deal.

While Pro Bowler Stefon Diggs remains in the fold, the Bills are poised to be without two of their top three receivers from last season. Emmanuel Sanders, who finished third on the team in receiving yards last season behind Diggs and Beasley, is currently a free agent. Buffalo's fourth and fifth receivers in terms of receiving yards last season were tight end Dawson Knox and receiver Gabriel Davis, who finished with 587 and 549 yards, respectively. Both players caught a combined 15 touchdowns while helping Buffalo win a second consecutive AFC East title.
