Despite reportedly agreeing to terms on a multi-year deal with Kevin Kolb over the weekend, the Buffalo Bills continue to evaluate the rookie quarterback class thoroughly as the NFL Draft process nears an end.

After reportedly meeting with West Virginia quarterback Geno Smith and Florida State quarterback E.J. Manuel last month, the Bills scheduled a private workout with USC quarterback Matt Barkley on Monday, according to ESPN. Former Syracuse quarterback Ryan Nassib, who ended his Orange career under Doug Marrone as the school’s all-time leader in passing yards, is also scheduled to work out for the Bills on Sunday according to multiple reports.

In his first public comments since the NFL Scouting Combine on this year’s crop of rookie quarterbacks, Marrone had a favorable opinion on the Class of 2013. The Bills’ first-year coach confirmed on Tuesday that he has attended every private workout the team has held with a quarterback in recent weeks.

“I think that all of the quarterbacks that I have seen personally have the ability to win in this league,” Marrone said. “I think each one of them has pluses and minuses from the standpoint of all the intangibles people look at when they define what they are looking for in a quarterback.”

When asked on Tuesday if the Bills were close to finalizing an agreement with Kolb, Marrone offered few details on the negotiations. ESPN’s Adam Schefter reported on Saturday that the Bills were close to agreeing on terms of a two-year deal that would pay Kolb a maximum of $13 million.

“I cannot say anything about Kevin because nothing is official,” Marrone said. “Obviously there is a lot of speculation out there. As soon as he comes on the roster and is official then I will officially comment on it. I do not want to get myself looking at hypotheticals.”

Nassib, meanwhile, is scheduled to work out with the Browns on Thursday and the Jaguars on Friday, Pro Football Talk reported. Browns coach Rob Chudzinski and offensive coordinator Norv Turner are expected to attend the workout. When Nassib meets with the Jaguars, coach Gus Bradley, general manager Dave Caldwell and offensive coordinator Jedd Fisch are expected to be present.

There is a possibility that Marrone won’t attend Nassib’s workout with the Bills, Pro Football Talk reported.
