Who's Playing

Houston @ Buffalo

Current Records: Houston 1-2; Buffalo 2-1

What to Know

The Buffalo Bills have the luxury of staying home another week and will welcome the Houston Texans at 1 p.m. ET Oct. 3 at Highmark Stadium. Buffalo will be strutting in after a victory while Houston will be stumbling in from a loss.

The Bills made easy work of the Washington Football Team on Sunday and carried off a 43-21 win. The matchup was all but wrapped up at the end of the third, by which point Buffalo had established a 36-14 advantage. QB Josh Allen had a stellar game for Buffalo as he passed for four TDs and 358 yards on 43 attempts in addition to punching in one rushing touchdown.

Special teams collected 13 points for Buffalo. K Tyler Bass delivered a perfect 3-for-3 game.

Meanwhile, the Texans lost to the Carolina Panthers at home by a decisive 24-9 margin. No one had a standout game offensively for Houston, but QB Davis Mills led the way with one touchdown. Mills ended up with a passer rating of 130.

The Bills are now 2-1 while Houston sits at a mirror-image 1-2. A pair of defensive stats to keep an eye on: Buffalo ranks third in the NFL when it comes to rushing touchdowns allowed, with only one on the season. On the other end of the spectrum, Houston is second worst in the league in rushing touchdowns allowed, with six on the season.
