Bitonio expected to make full recovery after successful surgery
Offensive guard Joel Bitonio had successful surgery on his foot Monday.
Cleveland Browns offensive guard Joel Bitonio had successful surgery on his foot Monday. He was added to the injured reserve last week after suffering a Lisfranc fracture last week against the New England Patriots. The Nevada product is expected to make a full recovery in time for the 2017 NFL season.
"You never want to end the season hurt, and that is two years in a row for me now and that is just not something that I’m used to. I’ve never been hurt in my life until the last two years. It was just a couple freak accidents, but I’m going to come back and I’m going to work my tail off and do everything in my power to come back better next season than I did this year," Bitonio said.
Alvin Bailey started at left guard Sunday against the Tennessee Titans in Bitonio's absence.
