Brady Quinn, the Browns' 2007 first-round pick who has bounced around the league since 2010, announced on Twitter Tuesday that he has been released by the Dolphins two weeks after signing with the team.

“It was short lived but I enjoyed every second. Thank you Miami Dolphins for the opportunity to play the game I love again. Best of luck to all the players and coaches this season,” Quinn tweeted.

In late July, FOX Sports announced that they had hired Quinn to cover both college and NFL football, but less than two weeks later, the former Notre Dame star signed with the Dolphins.

Quinn, who was on the rosters of the Jets and Rams last year, hasn't thrown an NFL regular-season pass since he started eight games for the Chiefs in 2012, going 1-7 in the process. This preseason, he was 4 of 4 for 22 yards in his only appearance against the Buccaneers.
