Broncos waive Darrion Weems to make room for Turner
In a corresponding roster move, following the addition of Billy Turner, the Broncos waived offensive lineman Darrion Weems.
Weems was not present at the start of Monday's practice.
A reserve lineman, Weems was active for all six games this year, his first in Denver. He was inserted into the starting lineup Week 5 against Atlanta, relieving the struggling Ty Sambrailo.
Weems, however, graded out among Pro Football Focus' lowest-rated guards across 114 snaps, according to Rotoworld.
A 2012 undrafted free agent, he could struggle to find significant work.
