Cardinals LB John Abraham charged with DUI

Cardinals linebacker John Abraham was arrested last month in suburban Atlanta and charged with DUI, according to DeKalb (Ga.) County online court records. AZCentral.com first reported Abraham's arrest.
Abraham has not been at training camp practices, but coach Bruce Arians said that he has the team's blessing to be absent. At this point, it's unclear if Abraham's arrest has anything to do with why he's not in camp.
"I'm not concerned at all," general manager Steve Keim told Arizona Sports 620 on Monday, before the DUI news was reported. "He'll be back at some point here."
Abraham was charged with DUI and stopping, parking or standing in a prohibited place. The former Falcons linebacker was booked into jail at 5 p.m. on June 29 and released just over five hours later, according to online court records.
This is the second time Abraham has been arrested for DUI. The first came in 2003 when he was playing with the Jets, and he crashed his vehicle into a fire hydrant and a light pole. He pleaded guilty to that charge.
"I'm not going through that stuff again," he told AZ Central last August. "It's a bigger headache than it's worth. I got mine one time, and one time is enough. It's brought more pain than it did anything else. That one night of partying wasn't worth all the things I had to go through."
In his career, Abraham has recorded 133.5 sacks, the most of anybody who's currently playing in the NFL.
