Chargers TE Ladarius Green (concussion) will not return Sunday

Chargers tight end Ladarius Green will not return to Sunday night's game against the Patriots due to a concussion, the team announced.

Green took a big hit to the upper body while juggling the ball on a route across the middle of the field, and while the defender was flagged for a personal foul for helmet-to-helmet contact, it's unclear whether the two players' helmets actually touched. Either way, Green needed help off the field and was taken to the locker room for further evaluation after being looked at by the training staff on the sidelines. Green will have to be cleared by an independent neurologist before being allowed back on the field.
