Before the 2013 season began, then Eagles teammates LeSean McCoy and Michael Vick engaged in a little friendly banter about who would win a race.

McCoy challenged "old man" Vick and the speedy quarterback stone-cold smoked Shady. Now Vick's got a new potential challenger on the Jets: Chris Johnson.

Johnson appeared on the Dave Dameshek Football Program (via and was asked who would win a

"Of course me," Johnson said.

Dameshek pointed out Vick would probably disagree and pick himself to win.

"He wouldn't say that," Johnson said. "Nah, he wouldn't say that."

BOLD. Of course, Johnson has stats -- or at least a stat, from the combine -- to back up his claim.

"My 40 hasn't been broken yet, so that's the evidence right there," Johnson said.

Gonna go out on a limb and say Vick won't bet against himself, even at the age of 34. And while I'd probably pick Johnson to win, I wouldn't want to be betting against Vick either.

Regardless, the Jets need to make this happen.
