CJ on pick of Chance Warmack: 'THANK GOD.'
The Tennessee Titans boosted their interior offensive line on Thursday night with the selection of former Alabama offensive guard Chance Warmack with the No. 10 overall pick. The pick received instant approval from Chris Johnson, who took to Twitter to describe his enthusiasm.
With a massive build and tremendous instincts, Chance Warmack was thought of by a number of scouts as possibly the best pure offensive guard to enter the NFL Draft since Steve Hutchinson was taken in the first round by the Seattle Seahawks in 2001.
Despite the addition of former Bills guard Andy Levitre at the start of free agency, the Titans still had a void at guard with Hutchinson’s retirement in March and the uncertainty surrounding starting right guard Leroy Harris' return in 2013. On Thursday night, the Titans addressed the need with the selection of Warmack with the No. 10 overall pick.

The Titans have struggled with its interior run blocking over the past two seasons. Last season, Tennessee averaged 3.97 yards per carry on runs behind their right guard, according to NFLGSIS.com. A season earlier, Tennessee ranked 26th on runs up the middle, the website found.
Since rushing for 2,006 yards in 2009, Johnson has gained 3,654 rushing yards over the last three seasons on 4.28 yards per carry.
