Colin Kaepernick calls TMZ report 'completely wrong'

San Francisco 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick took to Twitter on Friday to deny a TMZ report that he was being investigated for an alleged sexual assault.

A short time later, Kaepernick's agent released this statement: "We stand by Colin 100 percent and are fully confident that the truth will be evident once the facts come to light."

On Thursday, A Miami police spokesperson told's Will Brinson that police are following up on an information report that involves the 49ers quarterback. And the spokesman told that "There's no evidence of a crime or a sexual assault. This report is simply an incident report taken at the woman's request. ... there are no specific allegations of wrongdoing."

The spokesman added that TMZ "took the report out of context." 

A copy of that report was obtained by In it a woman states that on April 1, she went to the apartment of Seahawks receiver Ricardo Lockette, who played for the 49ers in 2012. Kaepernick was also at the apartment, along with 49ers wide receiver Quinton Patton.

The woman states that the group "talked for a while and she mixed some drinks for all of them and gave them shots." She says "they told her in order to drink the shots she had to 'hit' the bong which contained marijuana."

The woman states she "started to feel lightheaded and went to a bedroom to lay down." She says she "took off her jacket and jewelry" at which point "Mr. Kaepernick came behind her into the bedroom and started kissing her." She "advised that Mr. Kaepernick started to undress her" and that "she got completely naked."

At that point, the women says Kaepernick left the bedroom and "they did not have sex." She also states that Lockette and Patton "peeked" into the room, and she yelled, "What are you doing? Where's Colin? Get out!"

The woman states that Lockette and Patton closed the door and left but doesn't remember anything after that. She woke up in a hospital but doesn't know how she got there. She also states that she and Kaepernick have a prior sexual history.

The team released a brief statement Thursday:

"The 49ers organization is aware of the recent media report regarding Colin Kaepernick and is in the process of gathering the pertinent facts."
