The City of Cleveland went 52 years between championships. That drought ended on Sunday night when the Cavs outlasted the Warriors in Game 7 of the NBA Finals. And now that LeBron and Co. overcame overwhelming odds (the Cavs trailed 3-1 in the series, the Warriors won a record 73 games during the regular season), it's given hope to other beleaguered fan bases.
Which brings us to the Dallas Cowboys.
Congratulations to one of the biggest STARS out there! pic.twitter.com/Xs0QNN59vb

This isn't just a gratuitous hitch-your-wagon-to-the-king tweet from the Cowboys' Twitter account. James is a Cowboys fan, and is occasionally mentioned as a legit NFL tight end prospect.
Either way, Dallas fans are hoping some of LeBron's good fortune rubs off on a Cowboys outfit that last won a Super Bowl in January of 1996.
@dallascowboys@KingJames LeBron ends 1 drought. Time for the Boys to end theirs. Congrats LeBron. Bring that luck to Big D!! #fanforlife

There were plenty of other reactions from around the NFL, including these from the man who was part of the Browns' last championship:
What a great night and moment for the city of Cleveland. Congratulations to the entire @cavs organization for bringing it home.

But even a Cleveland sports rival can grudgingly acknowledge the enormity of the Cavs' win:
And THIS is what happens when u go 146 straight pro sports seasons w/o winning a championship and then win one! 😂🙈😂 pic.twitter.com/4HoXC5WQuL
