Aqib Talib woke up to some interesting news on Sunday and that news was that he had been arrested in Dallas. The only problem is that the Broncos cornerback wasn't arrested in Dallas, his brother was.
The whole mixup happened because the Dallas police department didn't know who it had in custody after an arrest at a Dallas nightclub at 1:45 a.m. on Sunday.
At 9:53 a.m., the DPD's verified Twitter page retweeted the following tweet from Maj. Max Geron, the department's head of media relations.

The Dallas Police Department didn't just stop there though, they also offered details of Aqib Talib's 'arrest.'

As you can imagine, this whole incident created a huge headache for Talib's agent Todd France. France had to do quick damage control to let everyone know that Talib hadn't been arrested.
So, Talib's agent says Aqib's brother was arrested and not him. Dallas PD has yet to amend it's statement that Talib is in a holding center

As La Canfora mentions, the person who was actually arrested on Sunday morning was Talib's brother, Yaqub. Over two hours after announcing Aqib Talib had been arrested, the DPD finally admitted it made a mistake.

Basically, Dallas police arrested Yaqub Talib at 1:45 a.m., but for 10 hours they thought they had Aqib Talib in custody. Did Yaqub say he was Aqib? Anything seems to be possible at this point, but you'd think police would verify that fact before announcing on Twitter that they have an NFL player in custody.
This raises other questions in Dallas, like, was Aqib Talib the second gunman on the grassy knoll?
