DE Desmond Bryant (irregular heartbeat) says he's cleared to play
Browns defensive end Desmond Bryant experienced some scary issues in 2013. But he says he's fine now.
During Cleveland's Week 5 win vs. the Bills, the Browns suffered a scary moment when defensive end Desmond Bryant had to be taken to the hospital when he experienced shortness of breath. Then, two months later, he suffered a rapid heart rate after a game vs. Jacksonville, and he had to miss the final four games of the season after undergoing surgery for an irregular heartbeat.
But on Friday, Bryant tweeted out some good news.
Everybody has been asking about my health. The doctor gave me full clearance and I am currently preparing for a very successful 2014 season!— Desmond Bryant (@DBryant92) March 7, 2014
Bryant, who finished with 31 tackles and 3.5 sacks last year, will be entering the second year of the five-year, $34 million deal he signed before the 2013 season.
