Frank Gore may have had second thoughts about Philadelphia but DeMarco Murray didn't. The Eagles announced early Thursday evening that the 2014 AP Offensive Player of the Year has signed his five-year contract with the franchise

ESPN's Adam Schefter and Chris Mortensen previously reported that the deal will have a maximum value of $42 million with $21 million guaranteed.

"It was never about the money...I could've taken that a long time ago," Murray said, via ESPN's Todd Archer. "It's about winning a Super Bowl [and] being fair."

Murray led the NFL in rushing with 1,845 yards and 13 touchdowns in 2014 with the Cowboys. The Cowboys reportedly offered Murray a deal that averaged around $5 million per year.

The Eagles also announced that former Chargers running back Ryan Mathews signed a three-year deal with the organization as well.
