The Dallas Cowboys are rolling right along, this feel-good machine that's beating up every opponent getting in the way. Part of it is talent, obviously, but part of it feels like karma.

Further proof: despite not being fined by the NFL for jumping into the Salvation Army kettle after scoring a touchdown (Elliott was flagged for the celebration), Elliott is still going to donate to the charity.

The running back was willing to match if he was fined by the NFL -- the presumptive fine would've been in the range of $12,154 for excessive celebration -- but the NFL decided not to fine him, the league announced on Monday.

The NFL's rules about celebrations are utterly ridiculous. The league doesn't have a rule in place for snow angels and a ref flagged Elliott for drawing attention to a charity during a prime time game.

It was a fun move during a fun time of the year.

The league is taking the high road here, though, which is at least good. (Or taking an easy win, if you prefer.) And Elliott's REALLY taking the high road by donating even though he wasn't fined.
