After a disappointing 9 points in their last matchup, the Atlanta Falcons made sure to put some points up on the board against the Las Vegas Raiders Sunday. Atlanta put a hurting on Las Vegas at home to the tune of 43-6. That looming 37-point mark stands out as the most commanding margin for the Falcons yet this season.
Atlanta's RB Ito Smith filled up the stat sheet, punching in one rushing touchdown. The Atlanta defense stepped up as well to lay out the quarterback five times.
Atlanta's defense was a force to be reckoned with, as it collected one interception and four fumbles. LB Deion Jones picked up that interception and then proceeded to rub salt in the wound by taking it back the other way for a touchdown.
The win bumped Atlanta's record up to 4-7. This is the second loss in a row for the Raiders and nudges their record down to 6-5.
The Falcons have the luxury of staying at home another week and will welcome the New Orleans Saints at 1 p.m. ET Dec. 6 at Mercedes-Benz Stadium. New Orleans is also hoping to continue their momentum after a 7 to nothing victory over the Denver Broncos Sunday. Las Vegas is on the road again next week and plays against the New York Jets at 1 p.m. ET Dec. 6 at MetLife Stadium. New York is still on the hunt for that elusive first W.
