Either the Atlanta Falcons or the New York Giants will earn their first win of the season when they go head to head on Sunday at MetLife Stadium as Eli Manning will have his jersey retired. Each of these NFC clubs enters Week 3 with an 0-2 record on the year, but the Giants, in particular, have been able to keep their games close, owning a 1-1 ATS mark. The Falcons, on the other hand, have been unable to cover either of their two games and are allowing the most points in the entire NFL. New York is also in the bottom 10 in the league in points allowed, so the scoreboard could be lighting up.

Line movement

Latest Odds: New York Giants -3

This line has held firm throughout the week with the Giants owing a three-point advantage heading into this matchup. There was a brief period where you could have taken the points with Atlanta at plus money, but that has since shifted to New York -3 (+100) as of Thursday evening.

The pickFalcons +3. Neither one of these teams will be mistaken for a contender in the NFC this season, so this won't exactly be a clash of the titans. Atlanta hasn't shown much this season -- allowing the most points per game in the NFL -- but if there was a team they could look to get right against it's the Giants, who have allowed more yards per game (413.5) than the Falcons (387.5).

Key trend: Falcons are 7-2 ATS vs. teams with a losing record.

Over/Under total

The total opened at 48 and has since fallen to 47.5 as of Thursday.

The pick: Over 47.5. I mean, if we're going by Atlanta's points allowed per game average, all the Giants would need to essentially do is find the end zone. Both of these clubs are at the bottom half in points allowed to begin the season and have pieces on offense and stable enough quarterback play that should be able to get us over this total.

Key trend: Over is 8-0 ATS in the Falcons last eight Week 3 games.

Player props to consider

Daniel Jones 1.5 passing touchdowns: Over (-125). No team in the NFL has given up more passing touchdowns than the Falcons (8).

Matt Ryan 282.5 passing yards: Over (-115). New York has surrendered 287.5 passing yards per game through the first two weeks and Ryan is coming off a 300-yard passing performance against Tampa Bay.

Sterling Shepard 5.5 receptions: Over (+120). Love the value here. Shepard has gone over this total in both of his games played this season and leads the Giants in targets.
