The 2013 NFL season is only one week old and apparently, there's already trouble brewing in Tampa Bay. The Buccaneers held a players-only meeting on Sunday, according to ProFootballTalk, and one of the topics was quarterback Josh Freeman

Freeman wasn't voted a team captain this year and some players voiced concern that the captain vote may have been fixed, according to former Bucs quarterback Shaun King. For the first time since 2010, Freeman wasn't voted a captain this season.

"There’s a lot of disarray in Tampa," King said, via PFT. "One of the points being that some of the players felt like there was an unfair counting of the captain vote, feeling like Josh Freeman should have remained a captain... [Coach] Greg Schiano is a micromanager, and it’s starting to wear thin with some of their veteran players."

Freeman and Schiano have had a rocky relationship almost since the day Schiano was hired in January of 2012.

On Wednesday, Schiano denied that any vote-tampering took place, "The players vote. The votes are tabulated by me," Schiano said, via the Tampa Bay Times. "I know there's a story out there. It's 100 percent false. If there's a such thing as 102 percent, this would be it. The players know who they voted for."

The players don't get to vote for their coach though and that could turn into a problem soon. "[When] Greg Schiano was hired, he was 20 games under .500 in the Big East," King said. "Those are real number, so I don't think those guys are currently buying into that 'my way or the highway' style."

The Bucs will look to get things on track on Sunday when they host New Orleans in their regular season home opener.
