'Is your mom hot?': A brief history of absurd NFL Combine questions
A former Jaguars player recounts the stupid questions teams asked him at the combine.

Austen Lane played in the NFL from 2010 to 2013. He was a defensive lineman for (mostly) the Jaguars, who selected him in the fifth round of the 2010 draft.
Prior to that draft, he went to the NFL combine, just as many NFL hopefuls do. While there, he was asked some absolutely absurd questions, some of which he detailed on his Twitter account on Tuesday morning.

OK. So, those are pretty ridiculous.

They hearken back to previous nonsense combine questions like former Dolphins exec Jeff Ireland asking Cowboys receiver (then a prospect from Oklahoma State) Dez Bryant if his mother is a prostitute, a team asking tight end Nick Kasa if he likes girls (and several teams wanting to know whether Chargers linebacker Manti Te'o is gay), the Browns asking prospects how many things they can think of to do with a paper clip, Gerald McCoy getting asked if he wears a jock strap or a G-string, a team asking Devin McCourty what superpower he would choose to have, Obum Gwachum being asked when he lost his virginity, and teams asking Jaguars quarterback Blake Bortles if his girlfriend would come to dinner when the team came to town.
What these questions have to do with football, or personality, or really anything at all, is a mystery. But they happen all the time, and there's no doubt they'll happen again this year. It's just a matter of time before we hear about this year's ridiculous queries -- someone will spill the beans over the next week or so.
