Julius Thomas is official out for the Jacksonville Jaguars against the Indianapolis Colts in London on Sunday. According to several reports early Sunday morning, tight end Julius Thomas couldn't make the start because of an elbow injury.

The Jaguars have started the season 0-3 while struggling badly on both sides of the ball. Their revamped defense has not lived up to expectations and Blake Bortles has seemingly regressed. The Indianapolis defense provides an opportunity for the offense to have a "get well" kind of game, but it will be more difficult without Thomas working over the middle and near the goal line.

In two-plus games this season, Thomas has 11 catches for 148 yards and a touchdown. Injuries have been an issue for Thomas throughout his career (he'd played in only 48 of a possible 80 career games entering this season), so the Jaguars had to know they were getting a guy who would miss a few games here and there when they signed him to a big contract last offseason.

Backup tight end Marcedes Lewis will get the start and most of Thomas' reps, as he did last season when Thomas was out, but he's not the same kind of threat.
