X-rays on Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo's back were negative, and Romo has only a back contusion, coach Jason Garrett told reporters. Garrett called it good news but added Romo will be evaluated further Tuesday.

Romo, who had offseason back surgery, took a big hit on a third-quarter sack and did not return until late in the fourth quarter. He finished 17 of 28 for 209 yards and a touchdown.

Romo fumbled on a sack on his second play after returning, but running back DeMarco Murray recovered. It was one of five sacks Romo absorbed. He's scheduled to face the Cardinals in Week 9.
