Since he entered the league in 2009, Titans receiver Kenny Britt has been involved with no fewer than eight legal entanglements, and he’s complained about his team’s disciplinary measures over social media.

Now, according to the Jersey Journal, he was involved in another interesting dispute early Sunday morning, bringing a stabbing victim to a New Jersey hospital but refusing to cooperate with the police afterward.

Police were called to a reported stabbing at a birthday party at 3:28 a.m., but found no sign of trouble. But the police report states that police were informed the victim had been taken to the hospital by Britt -- who then was uncooperative with police. The victim, who is Britt's brother [UPDATE, the Titans Insider reports that the victim was not Britt's brother], also was uncooperative.

Later, at the house where the party had been held and where Britt reportedly returned to pick up his girlfriend, a gunshot was heard. But according to the report, that occurred shortly after Britt left the house a second time. The stabbing wound reportedly is not life-threatening.

“We are looking to speak to Mr. Britt in reference to the incident," Jersey City police captain Edgar Martinez told the Tennessean. “We are currently in the process of trying to do that.”

Said Martinez: “They were all involved in an altercation. So they all knew each other and what was going on.  That’s why we want to talk to him. He was involved in the incident, both incidents. He was there during that time period. So we are looking to speak to him."
