Some NFL players don't partake in fantasy football and don't want to hear about how they have to play better because your team is suffering because of it.
And some play fantasy football, draft themselves and then sit themselves on the bench.
Like Giants tight end Larry Donnell for instance. It doesn't matter that Donnell has been one of the top tight ends in the league this year, he thought his best move last week was to sit Larry Donnell and start Vernon Davis instead. With disastrous results.
Larry Donnell benched himself in fantasy football last week in favor of Vernon Davis. His team lost by 15 pts. "Would've won if I played me"— Art Stapleton (@art_stapleton) October 1, 2014
Awesome, Larry. While he's been spectacular on the field so far this year -- he's tied for fifth in the league with four receiving touchdowns and his 25 receptions are the second-highest of any tight end this season -- he's obviously still got a ways to go before he masters the art of Fantasy Football GM.
