Lions center Dominic Raiola suspended one game for ankle stomp
Will Dominic Raiola be suspended for stomping on the ankle of an opponent. Lions coach Jim Caldwell admitted it could happen.

Lions center Dominic Raiola has been suspended one game for stomping on the ankle of Chicago's Ego Ferguson, the NFL announced on Monday.
For anyone scoring at home, Raiola violated Rule 12, Section 2, Article 12 (b) of the NFL Rule Book, which prohibits "kicking or kneeing an opponent."
That's close enough to "stepping on an opponent," which Raiola appears to do below.
After the game, Raiola said, via ESPN, that he didn't see Ferguson on the ground and that the stomp was accidental.
"It was totally unintentional," Raiola said. "I remember I was stumbling out. I didn't see the end of it. I apologized at the end of the game, told him it was unintentional and we shook hands and that was it."
Lions coach Jim Caldwell said on Monday that he believed Raiola's actions were unintentional.
Caldwell took a "good look" at Raiola's stomp. Said "I believe what Dom told me" but said he understands why he is being interviewed by NFL.

As for Ferguson, he wasn't saying Sunday if he believed Raiola's explanation.
Y'all saw the play," Ferguson said. "I don't have to explain that. You need to stay in between the [whistles] ... We all saw the play. You can't take back what happened with that play. That's the end of that."
