Lions cut Havard Rugland, 'Kickalicious' YouTube kicker
The Lions cut YouTube sensation Havard 'Kickalicious' Rugland on Tuesday.
So it turns out that being really good at YouTube trick football shots isn't enough to land you an NFL job. At least on the first try anyway -- the Lions announced on Tuesday morning that they cut Havard Rugland, the YouTube sensation known as "Kickalicious."
Via Tim Twentyman of DetroitLions.com, the team also dumped cornerback DeQuan Menzie.

Kickalicious might not be totally done -- there is ALWAYS a need in the NFL for a kicker who doesn't stink. And Rugland was pretty good during his run with Detroit.
He looked like a possible candidate to win their starting kicking job, but apparently Detroit simply felt more comfortable rolling with veteran David Akers as their starter.
