The matchup between Odell Beckham, Jr. and Josh Norman was supposed to be the best football battle of the day. Instead it turned into a total fistfight. Things were chippy all game, with Beckham eventually delivering a dangerous cheap shot on Norman.

Beckham, with the Panthers up 35-7, had caught three balls for 14yards on six targets up until that point.

It was made worse because he was fighting with Norman and delivered an ejection-worthy helmet-to-helmet hit on the Panthers cornerback.

Cheapest of cheap shots. (via FOX)

A close up view shows just how dangerous the hit really was.

Norman isn't entirely innocent in this whole thing, but he's pretty clearly gotten in the head of the Giants receiver, a guy we thought could be the best wide receiver in the league.

And Beckham responded poorly. Real poorly. Erin Andrews of FOX reported he had a "mini meltdown" on the sideline before apologizing to his teammates; he just looks completely unraveled.

The Giants closed the gap to 35-35 with under 2 minutes left, giving Beckham a potential chance for redemption. Follow the action in our GameTracker
