Tom Brady and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers got off to a strong start this season with a 31-29 win over the Dallas Cowboys on Thursday. Now Brady will face off against the Atlanta Falcons in Week 2, a team he has some history against.
On Monday, Brady posted a video on social media saying that he's excited to be 1-0. He's made a habit of posting videos like this one following victories. But while it seemed like a pure sentiment, Brady might have gone out of his way to troll the Falcons in the latest video..
In the video, there is a computer in the background, and the clock on it reads 3:28. Of course, 28-3 is the deficit that Brady faced in Super Bowl LI against the Falcons when he was a member of the New England Patriots. Decide for yourself:
In Super Bowl LI, Brady led the Patriots back to tie the game with under a minute to play. Patriots running back James White ended up scoring the game-winning touchdown on the Patriots' first possession of overtime and gave New England a 34-28 victory.
Brady hasn't exactly needed any extra motivation when it comes to facing the Falcons in his career. Entering the Week 2 matchup, Brady owns an 8-0 career record against Atlanta. If the Buccaneers come away with a win, Brady would become just the sixth quarterback in NFL history to hold a record of 9-0 or better against a single opponent.
