Less than a week after the Bills made one of the bigger splashes of this offseason’s free agency by making Mario Williams the highest-paid defender in the league, Buffalo has added another top-notch defensive end in Mark Anderson.

Anderson -- coming off a 10-sack performance with the Patriots last season, his best year since his rookie campaign in 2006 -- has agreed to a four-year deal worth $27.5 million (including $8 million guaranteed), via ESPN’s Adam Schefter.

Anderson previously had talked with the Ravens and the Dolphins, but ultimately wanted to go with Buffalo.

With the addition of Williams and Anderson to go with defensive tackles Kyle Williams and Marcell Dareus, the Bills have upgraded their defensive line into one of the best in all the league.

And considering the sales job performed by the Bills front office in landing Mario Williams and Anderson, there’s a decent chance Buffalo could be proclaimed the unofficial offseason champs.
