McCoy jokes that he tried to recruit Pryor to Pitt, couldn't afford him
Eagles RB LeSean McCoy joked Wednesday that he tried to recruit Raiders QB Terrelle Pryor to the University of Pittsburgh, but 'we couldn't afford him.'
The Eagles meet the Raiders this Sunday. We mention this because on Wednesday, Eagles running back LeSean McCoy, who played at the University of Pittsburgh and went to high school in Harrisburg, PA, was asked if he ever crossed paths with Raiders quarterback Terrelle Pryor, who grew up in Jeannette, PA.
Just so we're clear: McCoy was joking. Still, it's hilarious.
LeSean tried to recruit Pryor to Pitt. Said he couldn't afford it. Immediately then said he was kidding.— Jimmy Kempski (@JimmyKempski) October 30, 2013
Pryor was apprised of McCoy's remarks but apparently wanted no part of that conversation.
Pryor didn't answer the question when asked if LeSean McCoy recruited him to Pitt. Gave some strange answer about McCoy being a great back.— Bob Grotz (@BobGrotz) October 30, 2013
