Mike Shanahan said he feels 'like a complete dumbs---' for putting RG3 at wide receiver
Mike Shanahan wasn't happy with himself for putting Robert Griffin III in a position as a wide receiver against the Steelers.

The Redskins' game plan against the Steelers wasn't particularly effective on Sunday, with Washington scoring just 12 points in a beatdown of a loss.
One play stood out as particularly ridiculous, as superstar quarterback Robert Griffin III took a snap, ran left, pitched the ball to Josh Morgan, took off downfield and attempted to catch a pass from Morgan.
After committing offensive pass interference -- and getting flagged for it, RG3 was absolutely destroyed by Pittsburgh safety Ryan Clark. It was a dumb play that could've gotten Griffin hurt, and you won't hear Mike Shanahan disagreeing with that opinion, either.
"After looking at that play, you feel like a complete dumbshit," Shanahan said on Monday during his media conference call.
OK, that's just hilarious that Shanny actually said that. I'm looking forward to seeing whether or not the 'Skins PR staff scrubs the quote or not.
But he's right: everyone who saw the play at the time thought it was foolish, and it's refreshing to hear Shanahan admit that.
Griffin has concussion issues already in his career, and he's already at a ton of risk because of the way that he runs the ball. The last thing anyone needs for him to be doing is taking unnecessary shots from defensive backs while he's playing wide receiver.
And it sure doesn't sound like that opportunity will be there in the future.
