NFL DFS: Best Preseason Week 3 DraftKings, FanDuel daily Fantasy football picks for Sunday, August 25, 2019

The pivotal third weekend of the 2019 NFL preseason comes to a close with a Sunday Night Football matchup between the Pittsburgh Steelers and Tennessee Titans in Nashville at 8 p.m. ET. Both teams are expected to play the starters a decent portion of the game, and that includes Pittsburgh quarterback Ben Roethlisberger, who will make his preseason debut. NFL DFS players will need to make the call on which starters they can bank on, along with which backups will see plenty of action before locking in any NFL DFS lineups on a daily Fantasy site such as FanDuel or DraftKings. Before finalizing any NFL DFS picks of your own for Steelers vs. Titans, first be sure to check in with Mike McClure. He's won almost $2 million in his career as a DFS pro and his optimal NFL DFS lineups and advice can help you set your DFS strategy for this primetime matchup.

McClure uses a powerful prediction model that simulates every snap of every game 10,000 times, taking factors like matchups, statistical trends and injuries into account. This allows him to find the best values and create optimal NFL DFS lineups that he shares only over at SportsLine. They're a must-see for any NFL DFS player.

McClure rolled through the 2018 NFL season, cashing in the top 5 percent of tournaments on FanDuel and DraftKings multiple times. His optimal lineups cashed as high as the top 0.1 percent on FanDuel and as high as the top 1 percent on DraftKings. He's made some spot-on selections in the preseason thus far as well, rostering 49ers receiver Jalen Hurd on both sites in Week 1, when he caught two touchdown passes, and Steelers receiver James Washington (four catches, 78 yards) in Week 2. Anyone who has followed McClure's Fantasy football picks has seen some huge returns. Now, he's turned his attention to single-game slates for Titans vs. Steelers in on Sunday Week 3 of the preseason.

For Steelers vs. Titans single-game tournaments on Sunday, we can tell you one of McClure's top NFL DFS picks is Tennessee quarterback Ryan Tannehill. Marcus Mariota will get the start under center, but Tannehill has turned heads this preseason and he should get several series of work as Tennessee prepares him as the backup to the injury-prone Mariota.

The former Dolphins starter has completed a whopping 70.4 percent of his passes for 214 yards, three touchdowns and no interceptions through two games in the preseason. Titans All-Pro left tackle Taylor Lewan has worked with the second team in the preseason since he's suspended for the first four games of the season, and he's helped give Tannehill plenty of time. Tannehill has especially found a nice chemistry with reserve receiver Kalif Raymond (7 catches, 101 yards), so look for Tannehill to pile up big numbers on Sunday.

Part of his optimal NFL DFS strategy for Steelers vs. Titans includes rostering Pittsburgh running back Jaylen Samuels, who is averaging 7.8 yards per carry in the preseason thus far. Samuels was impressive when given an opportunity in the regular season last year. He averaged 4.6 yards per carry, and he was very effective as a receiver, catching 26 of his 29 targets for 199 yards and three touchdowns. He's expected to get work with the starters and the reserves on Sunday, opening up the door for big NFL DFS value.

McClure is also targeting a player who could go off for massive numbers on Sunday because of a dream matchup. This pick could be the difference between winning your tournaments and cash games or going home with nothing.
