NFL DFS Showdown, Vikings-Eagles: Best DraftKings Daily Fantasy Football picks
SportsLine's Mike McClure, a DFS pro with more than $1M in winnings, gives optimal lineup advice
For the NFC Championship Game on Sunday, which features the Minnesota Vikings traveling to take on the Philadelphia Eagles, the daily fantasy sports site DraftKings is running a $250K NFL Showdown. For this tournament, you select four offensive and two defensive players from Vikings-Eagles only and try to rack up as many points as possible.
Before you enter a daily fantasy lineup for this tournament, you need to hear what professional DFS player Mike McClure has to say. McClure has more than $1 million in career DFS winnings and rolled through this season, entering multiple lineups that have cashed big.
For DFS tournaments during the divisional round last week, he jumped all over Titans receiver Corey Davis as a strong value play at $3,400 on DraftKings. The result: Davis caught two touchdown passes and easily returned his best DFS performance of the season with 23.3 points on DraftKings. Anyone who followed his advice was well on their way to a huge DFS payout.
Now, McClure has exhaustively studied the matchups, injuries and depth charts for the NFC Championship Game and locked in his optimal NFL Showdown DFS lineup. He's sharing it over at SportsLine.
One player he absolutely loves for the NFL Showdown: Vikings tight end Kyle Rudolph at $9,600.
With the season on the line last week against the Saints, quarterback Case Keenum looked Rudolph's way eight times. Rudolph looked to be closer to his midseason form where he scored five touchdowns in a four-week span before injuries slowed him down later in the year.
He's a top red-zone target, scoring eight touchdowns this year, so he has sizable upside on Sunday against a Philadelphia defense that is tough, but is ranked in the middle-of-the-pack in the NFL against the pass and gave up over 100 yards of receiving to Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce earlier this year.
Lock Rudolph in at his affordable price and you'll still have plenty of salary cap room to stack him with teammate Stefon Diggs, who is one of the top overall options for this game at $12,600.
His miraculous, game-winning catch against the Saints got most of the attention last week, but he was a huge part of the offense all day in the divisional round, making six catches on 10 targets on his way to 28.7 points on DraftKings -- his highest total since September.
Philadelphia's run defense, ranked first in the league, is virtually impenetrable, so the Vikings will have to look to the air to have offensive success. Keenum also has a high level of confidence in Diggs, especially after last week, so expect him to look his way frequently as Minnesota tries to exploit one of the few questionable units the Eagles have.
McClure is also targeting a pair of stud defenders who are affordably priced and will give you enough room to build a loaded roster. Picks like these could be the difference between winning your tournaments and going home empty-handed.
So who is Mike McClure putting in his optimal DFS lineup for the Vikings-Eagles NFL Showdown? Visit SportsLine now to see the full tournament lineup from a professional DFS player who nailed the breakout performance by Corey Davis last week and has over $1 million in career winnings, and find out.
