NFL expert picks, best bets for NFC, AFC championships: 4-way playoff football parlay
SportsLine's top NFL experts give their top picks for Patiots-Jaguars and Eagles-Vikings
We're down to the NFL's final four, and both the AFC and NFC Championship Games have intriguing matchups. If you're feeling truly bold for what many believe is the most exciting NFL Sunday of the season, the top experts at SportsLine are going huge, putting together a four-pick parlay for this weekend's action that could return a massive 10-to-1 payout. If you bet $100, it would return $1,000.
SportsLine is utilizing its top experts to make picks in the areas they know best. It's an All-Star cast that includes some of the top handicapping experts in the nation.
Here's the lineup: Galin Dragiev gives his picks for the AFC Championship Game between the Patriots and Jaguars (27-13 NFL run, including a win with Patriots -13.5 last weekend); Micah Roberts makes his choice for the NFC Championship Game between the Vikings and Eagles (picked Philly and Minnesota to win last week); and Mike Tierney has locked in his picks for the over-under on each game (51-28 streak on NFL O/U picks).
We'll give one key part of the parlay away: Tierney is taking the over to hit in Vikings-Eagles.
Sure, it's a matchup of two of the top four defenses in the NFL, but Tierney has found several reasons to believe the total of 38 is far too low.
First off, the number is historically low. In fact, Tierney notes it's the lowest total for a championship game in 13 years.
Case Keenum might not have been the planned starter for Minnesota this season, but he's sure played like one. Keenum went 12-3 under center with 22 touchdowns and seven interceptions, and his QB rating of 98.3 ranked eighth in the NFL, just ahead of Aaron Rodgers and Russell Wilson.
Philly quarterback Nick Foles was also thrust into action after an injury to starter Carson Wentz. He played in just three regular-season games and wasn't as effective (five touchdowns, two interceptions), but he's 3-0 in games that mattered, including last week's divisional round win over the Falcons. Foles had a passer rating of 100 against the defending NFC champs.
Tierney has also found glaring stats that pushed him to one side of the over-under in the AFC Championship Game. In addition, Dragiev is ultra-confident in his Jaguars-Patriots spread pick and Roberts has a huge x-factor for Vikings-Eagles that you're not even thinking of.
Find out what it is, and everything else you need to know to complete your parlay selections, over at SportsLine.
