NFL and NFL Players Association have agreed to practice squad changes and teams have been informed of the changes, according to league sources.

Most notably, the squad goes up to 10 players from eight, and there also are changes with practice squad eligibility.

Teams now can have up to two practice squad players who would not have qualified previously; those players can have up to two accrued seasons (32 games of regular-season experience).

Also, the number of games required to earn a "practice squad season" has increased from three games to six games.
