NFL Week 14 Top picks: 49ers a lock

I finally did it. Thirteen weeks into the NFL season, and I had the first sweep of my three best bets.

The 3-0 sweep last week takes my record for the past five weeks to 11-3-1. That's big-time hot.

The picks last week were Arizona (plus 3 1/2), the Falcons (plus 3) and the Bengals (plus 1). Two of the three dogs won outright.

Let's keep the hot streak going with three picks this week.

49ers (minus 3): This is the pick that will shock many, but I think it's one of the easier picks in a long time. The Seahawks are coming off an emotional Monday night game, and now must travel to face a division rival that is getting hot at the right time. The 49ers will do what Seattle does to most teams: Physically beat up the Seahawks. I love this pick.

Bengals (minus 6): The Colts are really struggling on both lines. That's not a good thing when playing the Bengals. This is a huge game in terms of playoff seeding, and I think that Cincinnati defensive front will get after Andrew Luck

Cowboys (plus 1): I can't understand why the Bears are favored here. Their defense isn't good and the Cowboys can roll on offense. This is a chance for Tony Romo to show that he can be a top quarterback in December. The Cowboys roll and keep pushing to a division title.
