NFL Week 7 Vegas expert picks and predictions: Bears, Colts cover
R.J. White went deep in the Las Vegas SuperContest two of the last three years
When you're looking for advice on who to pick on game day in the NFL, nobody beats R.J. White. In fact, if you placed $100 on each of R.J. White's NFL picks last season, you would have won nearly $2,000. Smart bettors tail his selections. He also cashed big last season in the world's most prestigious handicapping tournament, the Westgate Las Vegas SuperContest, tying for 18th out of 2,748 contestants with a 52-29-4 mark against the spread. It wasn't a fluke, either, as he also cashed big-time in the 2015 SuperContest. Now, he's back and ready to crush his SuperContest selections again in 2018, and he's only sharing his picks at SportsLine.
"Why lay more than a touchdown with a 1-5 team? Because Andrew Luck is playing well and the Colts are finally starting to get healthy," White told SportsLine. "T.Y. Hilton and Margus Hunt are back for this game, and an offensive line that's finally 100 percent can keep a strong Bills pass rush at bay. Also, Derek Anderson is starting a game on the road in 2018. Throw the records out; Luck vs. Anderson is a QB matchup that should be at least -10 in Indy. The Colts' strong run D keeps the Bills off the board and the Colts cruise to a double-digit win."
"The Patriots aren't as strong of a play on the road, and I don't see them coming out and throwing a huge number on the board against the No. 1 DVOA defense after a shootout on Sunday night," White told SportsLine. "Right tackle Marcus Cannon is out for the Pats and Khalil Mack avoided a final injury tag after missing practice early in the week. I expect a rough week for Tom Brady, and the Bears offense should have success after putting together back-to-back quality games. The weakest unit in this game is New England's defense, and that matters on the road."
White also is calling for a home favorite to get absolutely shocked on Sunday. And who it is will surprise you.
