Nike teams up with Hasbro for actual Calvin Johnson Transformer shoes
Nike and Hasbro teamed up to create the coolest shoes on the planet: the Calvin Johnson Transformer shoes.
Nike's been pushing Calvin Johnson pretty hard the last few months, putting the Lions star wideout and Diddy in commercials. But their lastest Megatron-themed push is just ridiculous. And by "ridiculous" I mean "ridiculously awesome and appealing to my childhood sense of nostalgia."
It's the Calvin Johnson CJ81 Megatron collection of shoes, it's limited, it's incredible and it's a partnership with Hasbro.
First up is the CJ81 Megatron Trainer Max with a freaking Decepitcon logo on the shoelaces:
Unfortunately, kicks this nice are going to be limited. And there are only like 81 sets (get it?) of the Megatron Rises Packs
And there's a Decepticon logo on the back as well...
The second shoe in the set is the Megatron Nike Air Trainer SC II, which is a little less intense in terms of flashing the Transformers logo.
It does, however, have a Decepticon logo on heel, which is pretty sweet.
And the third shoe is an actual cleat, the Nike CJ81 Megatron Elite TD Cleat
Perhaps the coolest thing about the whole collection? IT COMES WITH AN ACTUAL TRANSFORMER. Inspired by Johnson and the show it's a Hansbro-approved (they collaborated on the whole process)
And of course the box also is a gigantic Transformer as well. I'm going to assume Mrs. Brinson won't buy me one of these sets for Christmas, so if someone out there wants to get me one, feel free to let me know.
