Oklahoma DA doesn't sound interested in giving Justin Blackmon a plea bargain
The Oklahoma district attorney prosecuting Jaguars wideout Justin Blackmon reportedly said that he's not interested in a plea bargain for the wide receiver's recent DUI arrest.
Blackmon reportedly blew a whopping 0.24 when given a blood-alcohol content test, which drew plenty of attention.
It appears the not-guilty plea he entered has drawn the attention of the Oklahoma district attorney who will prosecute Blackmon as well.
According to Vito Stellino of the Florida Times-Union, the Payne County (OK) DA isn't interested in accepting Blackmon's not guilty plea.
Stellino noted on Tuesday that he spoke with the DA and reported on Twitter that "Blackman pleads guilty to DUI or they go to trial. They won't plea bargain down to reckless driving."
Blackmon previously was nailed for DUI while playing at Oklahoma State and was suspended a game. This offense could potentially cost him more, according to Stellino.
Blackmon's situation with the Jaguars is obviously a major concern. He was drafted to be a franchise-changing wideout who could step in and assist Blaine Gabbert right away.

Instead, he's drawing headlines for being a serious issue off the field and now might be looking at some issues when it comes to getting his contract locked up. And there's a report that the Jaguars want a sit-down with Blackmon to chat about his issues.
If his legal issues play out in the worst-case scenario (vis-a-vis Blackmon refusing to plead guilty and going to trial and getting hammered for a max sentence), it will only get uglier.
