Greg Hardy's jury trial on domestic violence charges will begin Feb. 9, reports the Charlotte Observer. A judge convicted the Panthers defensive end last July of assaulting a female and communicating threats, prompting Hardy to seek a jury trial.
An impending free agent, Hardy played in one game before being placed on the commissioner's exempt list. He still made $13.1 million under the franchise tag.
Yahoo Sports reports Hardy's teammates want him to return to the team, but it's unclear if owner Jerry Richardson will consider re-signing Hardy, who had 15 sacks in 2013.
