Patriots get sweet deal from schedule-maker; Eagles, Jaguars -- not so much

Take a look at how your favorite team did last year against playoff teams and ask yourself if they really can compete with the good teams in the NFL this year.

Only seven teams had winning records against playoff teams -- including playoff games -- in 2011.

Playoff teams Atlanta, Detroit and Cincinnati had a combined 2-19 record against playoff teams and need to improve in games against the good teams or the aren't going anywhere in 2012.

Take a look at the Patriots' situation in 2012. The AFC Super Bowl rep was 4-3 against playoff teams last season, but plays only four games in 2012 vs. teams which had winning records last seasson.

Conversely, look at the Eagles games against teams with winning records last year; Philly is one of only two teams (Jacksonville is the other) playing eight games against clubs with winning records last season.
