Patriots rookie has interesting chat with Reese Witherspoon on Twitter
Reese Witherspoon and Patriots rookie Malcolm Mitchell had an interesting chat on Twitter this week.
Less than 24 hours after the fourth-rounder was drafted on Saturday, Mitchell received a tweet from Academy Award winning actress Reese Witherspoon. And no, this wasn't a romantic tweet, Witherspoon was trying to get Mitchell to join her book club.
If you're wondering why Witherspoon was recruiting Mitchell to her book club and not any other rookie, the answer is simple: Mitchell loves books.
As a matter of fact, the former Georgia wide receiver loves books so much that he actually wrote a children's book back in 2015. After publishing the book in August 2015, Mitchell even set up a website for it.
As for Witherspoon's tweet, it didn't take long for Mitchell to accept her book club offer.
Witherspoon seemed pretty excited about adding a Patriots player to her book club.
Mitchell isn't messing around either, he's already recommending books to Witherspoon.
Mitchell's going to have to do better with his recommendations though, because Reese has already read that one.
I love thrillers, Reese! I also love the Berenstain Bears, so my tastes are all over the place.
Anyway, it you're looking for any books to read this summer, you should probably just follow Witherspoon and Mitchell on Twitter, they'll give you plenty of recommendations.
