Pats CB Talib (knee) questionable to return after collision
Pats CB Talib has returned to the locker room after a nasty mid-field collision with the Broncos receiver.
Patriots cornerback Aqib Talib, the team's No. 1 cornerback who shadowed Wes Welker for much of the first quarter, is questionable to return with a knee injury after a nasty mid-field collision with the Broncos receiver.
Talib was covering Julius Thomas when the Denver tight end began his crossing route, and as Talib followed, he ran straight into Welker.
After staying on the turf for a few minutes, Talib walked to the sideline with trainers. A few minutes later, he walked to the locker room. Originally, the Patriots said Talib was dealing with a rib injury, though it was obvious at the time that Talib's leg was hurt.
Without Talib, New England moved Devin McCourty to cornerback.
