Week 3 NFL picks for Lions vs. Ravens

Before you tune in to Sunday's Ravens vs. Lions game, you need to see the NFL picks from SportsLine's advanced computer model. The model, which simulates every NFL game 10,000 times, is up almost $7,800 for $100 players on top-rated NFL picks since its inception six-plus years ago. It went a sizzling 24-14 on top-rated NFL picks last season, returning more than $800. The model also enters Week 3 of the 2021 season on an incredible 122-81 run on top-rated NFL picks that dates back to the 2017 season.

The model also ranked in the Top 10 on NFLPickWatch four of the past five years on straight-up NFL picks and beat more than 94 percent of CBS Sports Football Pick'em players four times during that span. Anyone who has followed it is way up.

For Ravens vs. Lions, the model is backing Baltimore (-7.5) to cover the spread in nearly 60 percent of simulations. Baltimore has been sensational on the road in recent years. In fact, John Harbaugh's squad is 13-4 in its last 17 road games.

The Ravens have also had a ton of success against the Lions, winning four of their last five meetings with Detroit. Baltimore is also 4-1 against the spread in its last five games against the Lions. Detroit, meanwhile, has lost each of its last five games at home and the Lions are 1-6 against the spread in their last seven matchups against an opponent from the AFC North.

SportsLine's model expects Ravens QB Lamar Jackson to throw for 233 yards, while leading the team in rushing with 79 yards on the ground. Marquise Brown and Mark Andrews are projected to combine for over 135 receiving yards, which results in Baltimore easily covering the spread in a 30-17 win.
