Referee Carl Cheffers assigned to Broncos' Monday night game
Carl Cheffers will officiate the upcoming Monday Night Football matchup between the Denver Broncos and Houston Texans
Carl Cheffers will officiate the upcoming Monday Night Football matchup between the Denver Broncos and Houston Texans, according to Football Zebras.
This is the first Broncos game Cheffers will have worked this year, and only the third since 2013.
An NFL head referee since 2008, Cheffers is one of the more flag-happy zebras who rarely lets the players play. Case in point: His crew called a staggering 18 penalties last Sunday and 17 penalties in Week 2.
The Broncos were flagged 12 times in last Thursday's loss to the Chargers.
Monday Night Football kicks off from Sports Authority Field at 6:30 p.m. MT.
