Report: NFL decision on Vontaze Burfict coming today

Cincinnati Bengals linebacker Vontaze Burfict has come under fire again from the NFL for his on-field antics and dirty play stemming from Sunday's game against the New England Patriots.

Burfict went low to the knees on a hit to Patriots tight end Martellus Bennett and also stepped on the ankle of running back LeGarrette Blount after a touchdown run. Both are being reviewed by the NFL for disciplinary action and a decision is expected to come sometime today.

ESPN's Ed Werder reports that the tape from this game is being reviewed by NFL VP of Football Operations Jon Runyan, while NFL Network's Ian Rappaport says that a large fine is expected instead of a suspension.

Burfict has a history of disciplinary action with the NFL after serving a three-game suspension to start the year.
