Drew Brees will likely be without one of his top weapons for the Saints' Monday Night Football matchup with the Atlanta Falcons. Per a report from ESPN's Britt McHenry, Willie Snead will miss the game -- likely due to the toe injury he's been dealing with:

However, McHenry's ESPN colleague Mike Triplett reported there is a slight possibility Snead could suit up:

Snead got off to an excellent start to the season, as our Sean Wagner-McGough explored in his Monday column. Snead has caught 14 of 17 passes thrown his way this season for 226 yards and two touchdowns. Operating mostly out of the slot (72.4 percent of his routes, per Pro Football Focus), he's given Brees a reliable weapon over the middle of the field.

Without him, the Saints will presumably have to rely more on rookie wideout Michael Thomas, tight end Coby Fleener, and running back Travaris Cadet, all of whom have been tertiary targets to Snead and No. 1 receiver Brandin Cooks through the season's first two weeks.

Notable players who are out: Cameron Jordan (Saints), Terron Armstead (Saints), Delvin Breaux (Saints) and Paul Worrilow (Falcons). For more injury updates, check out ESPN 1420 in Louisiana.
