Report: Sam Bradford has torn ACL
St. Louis quarterback Sam Bradford has a torn ACL, according to a report, and the Rams likely will have to lean on Kellen Clemens the rest of the way.
This news jibes with what the Rams feared and why, as CBS Sports NFL Insider Jason La Canfora reported, they were bracing for the worst.
A torn ACL is absolutely the worst. Bradford, who looked horrible early in the season but appeared to be progressing some in the last few weeks. Bradford had seven touchdowns and just one interception in his last three games and had completed 70 percent or higher of his passes in two of those games.
Now St. Louis is likely stuck with Kellen Clemens for the remainder of the year and will, in all likelihood, seek to add an another quarterback off the waiver wire.
