Forget all the talk about whether Colt McCoy really got a fair chance to compete with Brandon Weeden for the Brrowns starting quarterback job, here’s how to strike real fear in the hearts of Cleveland fans.
So, um, yikes.
Now, before you get ahead of yourself (put down the puke bucket for now), here’s what we know: the No. 3 pick in the 2012 draft -- the one for which Cleveland traded up -- isn’t 100 percent healthy. Here’s what we don’t know: the extent of his discomfort. He also didn’t talk to the media about his knee, so that’s not helping us solve this puzzle.
As we see all across the league about this time of training camp, minor bumps and bruises cause players to miss a little practice time. Much of the time, it’s not a big deal. Obviously, we don’t know how Richardson’s knee is feeling (though the words “same one had scoped in February” probably aren’t easing your discomfort).
But it could be nothing. Of course, it could be something important as well. We’ll just have to wait and see. And we’ll let you know when and if you should take up the ready-to-vomit position.
