Richard Sherman to critics: 'Every time you doubt us you look stupid'

Richard Sherman might talk trash but he also backs it up. (USATSI)
Richard Sherman has never been one to keep his thoughts to himself. And through two-plus NFL seasons, it has served him well. Whether it's putting ESPN's Skip Bayless in his place, comparing notes with Darrelle Revis, or sticking it to the NFC West rival 49ers (who just so happened to be led by Jim Harbaugh, Sherman's coach at Stanford), the Seahawks cornerback has a knack for flapping his gums and promptly backing it up.

Early Monday morning, minutes after Seattle thoroughly outclassed San Francisco, Sherman had another message for his detractors: Don't doubt us.

“There are a lot of pundits and ignorant idiots who thought, ‘Oh, the Seahawks are gonna lose this game,' Sherman told NBC’s Michele Tafoya. "Well, please, please don’t doubt us again. Every time you doubt us, you look stupid.”

For the record, we had the Seahawks beating the 49ers.

As for the rest of you, you've been warned.
